Today, around at 3AM, I had a nighmare. It's really bad and make me wake up suddenly. The dream start like I am at the school and the class finishes up quite late. I was at the school alone as other students were already picked up. I was doing the vlog and there was a car nearby. I just thoigh it will be someone who is waiting for the student and I just keep doing the vlog. And someone from the car called me and I don't know why I just went inside his car with no emotion on face. I look like I have no feeling in my dream. Then, I ran into the school admin office kind of place and crying and saying I got raped. The admin called the police and police were also very empathetic and they said they will come quickly. I am being comfort by the admin girl and suddenly she saw a shadow behind the door. She though that is police already but when she peak that was the guy before holding a very big knife - like a butcher knife. We were being scare. I try to take a video of him as he said I don't have any proof to tell the police that he raped me. I was so scare and open the phone camera. But the camera was in selfie mode so I turn the phone screen sode to his face. By that time, he slash me and I woke up.
Your dream contains several important themes that could help us understand its meaning:
Isolation and Vulnerability: Being at school alone may symbolize feelings of isolation or vulnerability. This setting can represent a phase of your life where you may feel exposed or unsupported.
Seeking Validation: The act of vlogging in the dream reflects a desire to express yourself and share your experiences, suggesting that you may be seeking validation or connection with others. However, your surroundings show that you are alone, which indicates feelings of being unheard or unnoticed.
Invasion of Safety: The encounter with the man in the car could represent a breach of safety or control in your life. It implies a violation of personal boundaries, leading to feelings of anxiety and powerlessness.
Fear of Being Disbelieved: The confrontation with the attacker and the focus on "not having proof" suggests a fear of not being believed or validated in your experiences, which is a common feeling for many people who have been through trauma.
The Role of Authority: The presence of the admin and police indicates a search for help or resolution after a traumatic event. Yet, when safety seems to be within reach, the shadowy figure represents the ongoing threat, reflecting feelings of distrust or disappointment in those who are supposed to protect you.
Self-Protection and Agency: Your attempt to record the incident with your phone demonstrates a desire to reclaim your narrative and seek justice. However, the fear and adrenaline cause a challenge to effectively take control, leading to a feeling of helplessness.
Emotional Disconnect: The emotionless state in your dream suggests difficulty processing emotional experiences or trauma. It might indicate a coping mechanism where you distance yourself from your feelings.
Overall, this dream may reflect deep-seated anxieties related to personal safety, validation, trauma, and emotional expression. It might be beneficial to explore these feelings further, whether through journaling, talking with a trusted friend, or seeking professional support. Understanding and processing these emotions may help mitigate the intensity of such nightmares in the future.
